Which Garmin Devices are compatible With MoguWind App
MoguWind is available on Connect IQ, Garmin's platform for third-party apps. Here's the complete list of compatible devices and how to get started.
If you want MoguWind on your Garmin, the first thing to know is which Garmin cycling computers and watches actually support it. MoguWind runs on Garmin's Connect IQ platform, so not every device can install it, but the list is long and covers most modern Edge computers and sports watches. Garmin compatible devices with MoguWind.
Why Garmin and MoguWind Together
Garmin is the standard for serious cyclists. Whether you ride with an Edge computer or a fēnix watch, having the wind right on your handlebar or wrist changes how you plan and pace. Instead of pulling out your phone mid ride, MoguWind puts the wind on your screen as you go.
It works through Connect IQ, Garmin's ecosystem for apps and data fields. By August 2026 MoguWind had passed 10,000 downloads with a 4.7 rating on the Connect IQ Store, so it has become a trusted tool for riders who want the wind that actually hits them, not a single number for the whole area.

Complete List of Compatible Garmin Devices
MoguWind works on 29 Garmin devices with Connect IQ 3.1 or later. Here is the real list.

- fēnix watches. fēnix 6 Pro, 6S Pro and 6X Pro (the Pro, Sapphire or Solar variants only, not the base 6 or 6S), fēnix 7, 7S and 7X, fēnix 8 (43 mm) and 8 (47 mm).

- Forerunner watches. Forerunner 955, 965 and 970.

How to Install MoguWind on Your Garmin
Getting MoguWind on your Garmin takes a couple of minutes.
- Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone, or the Connect IQ Store online at app.moguwind.com.
- Search for "MoguWind".
- Tap Download and pick your device.
- On the Garmin, edit your cycling profile, go to the data screens and add MoguWind as a data field. Full screen is best.
- Head out. The first time, the Garmin needs a phone connection over Bluetooth to pull the wind data.
No account, no email, no sign up. You add it and ride.
Getting the Most From MoguWind
MoguWind's strength is the wind that is relevant to you, not a single forecast for the whole ride. On the device you see it live as you go, the arrow pointing where the wind is going, the headwind, tailwind and crosswind in km/h, plus where the wind will shift over the next hours.
Before you leave, use the free MoguWind web planner to see the wind kilometre by kilometre on your route. Upload a GPX or import from Strava, pick the day and time, and it shows exactly where the tailwind helps and where the headwind costs you, so you can pace it or decide if today is the day. You can also open a sample route to see how it breaks the wind down across a real climb.
Plan the wind at home, then ride with it live on your screen.
Free to install. Takes two minutes on the Connect IQ Store. Works on 29 Garmin devices.

Edge computers. The Edge 530 and newer are ideal. The bigger screens make the arrow and the numbers easy to read at a glance. If you are buying, the Edge 840 and 1040 give you the best mix of screen size, battery and features.
fēnix and Epix watches. fēnix 7 and 8, and the Epix AMOLED range, run it smoothly. On the fēnix 6 it works on the Pro, Sapphire and Solar variants, though older hardware can load a touch slower.
Forerunner watches. The Forerunner 955, 965 and 970 are solid for cyclists who also run. The screen is smaller, but the app loads fast and gives you the wind when you need it.
